Ulder Ravengard is the Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate and Marshal of the Flaming Fist. While traveling from Elturel, he and his retinue made a stop at the Waukeen's Rest inn, where they were ambushed by the forces of the Cult of the Absolute. Most of his people were killed, and the Grand Duke himself was kidnapped.
